OzGuff: With over 200 visits in two years this has been a very popular cache! However, with my relocation to Asheville this is getting to be a stretch for cache maintenance. I hope that one of the local cachers will take up the slack and place a new cache in the park.

Geocache Description:

An easy cache in a great little park in Cherokee, NC.

The Oconaluftee Islands Park has lots of things to do -- a walking trail, exercise stations, educational stations, huge groves of river cane, fishing, swimming, wading, tubing, picnicing... Park in the designated lot off of 441 and stroll over. This is a great place for a picnic!

The cache should be easy to find but will be challenging due to the large number of non-cachers bound to be in the immediate area. The container is one-third gallon Coleman jug partly wrapped in camo-tape. Enjoy this cache! (And replace it where/as you found it...)
