This cache is located in Hennessey Memorial Park, Hennessey, OK. It is right on Main St. The cache is located within 150 feet of the parking area. It is handicap accessible. There is a nice picnic shelter. There is a statue dedicated to Roy Cashion, who was the first Oklahoman killed in a foreign war. He was a Rough Rider in the Spanish American War. There is a memorial to the men killed in World War I and World War II and to Pat Hennessey, for whom the town is named.
The cache is an Altroids box which is located on the trail. It contains the Geocache instructions, a log book with pencil and the following genuine World War II items which were used in the European Theater:4th Infantry Division shoulder patch9th Armored Division shoulder patchU.S. insigniaArmored InsigniaThese items are all approx 60 years old.If you put anything in the cache, it would be nice if it were military related, but it would have to be small because of limited space.
