Geocache Description:

TreePlanter's Deep Woods Cache:

This is a part of Proud Lake Recreation area that not many people get in to....Or out of! It is on horse path loop #4. This is the second site where a legal permit is issued by the State of Michigan for this sport.
The cache is a normal ammo box, filled with lots of goodies. There is a nice first finders prize. Bring good stuff to trade. It is not far off the path. There are some small hills to climb on the path.
A state park permit is required for the area. Permits are available at the Ranger Office at Wixom Road.
If you complete this cache from the parking of TreePlanter's Chief Cache you have a good size hike for the round trip. Good exercise! You have burned a lot of calories !
A water pump is available at: N42 34.313 W 083 34.812 Good water! You can't tell it is well water! There are also picnic tables here too. Be sure and read Roving Ravenstones June 11th, 2004, log about night caching at this site. It is a good log!
