Geocache Description:

You are looking for a green ammo box.

This cache is highly recommended for those visiting from out of town as it is fairly easily accessed from the Ashland city plaza and it gives one a brief glimpse of the surrounding forests beauty. For those who live locally, it’s simply a nice way to experience the tranquility of Ashland Creek without the crowds that are often found in the more commonly visited parts of Lithia Park below. There are easily six or seven access points to the trail system the cache is on. What challenge there is, will be in finding an entry point. We took a 0.3 mile route (one way) from the park at the reservoir (N 42 10.780 W 122 43.041). However, there is at least one parking area that is closer to the cache (probably about 0.2 mile each way). You may even just want to begin the trail down at the bottom of Lithia Park (near the plaza) and hike all the way up to the reservoir. That way you can grab the other two (?) caches in the park on the way.
