Geocache Description:

Creek Junction, Where the AT crosses the Virginia Creeper Trail.

Best way to get here is to ride a bike down from Whitetop Station on the Virginia Creeper Trail. Bike rentals can be found in Damascus with a shuttle up to Whitetop Station. As you coast down the trail you will come to Creek Junction, it is the very long, very high straight trestle. Before you cross this long trestle there is a sign on your left pointing to the AT (white blazes). Waypoint for where the AT leaves the Creeper Trail is N. 36.38.813 / W. 081.40.331. Down this trail is where your hunt begins. You are looking for a medium sized ammo can with my picture stamped on it. You can also drive here, go on highway 58 East from Damascus. There will be a small brown sign on your right pointing down a dirt road to parking and Virginia Creeper Trail access. This will be the first road to the right past Bear Tree. Creek Junction Road (#728). If you come this way you will need to hike up to the Virginia Creeper Trail and walk across the long trestle and the sign will be on your right. Have fun!
