This cache is located near the Smith Creek Trail in Unicoi State Park between two quality caches by Mr. Phat Bak. You will need a Georgia State Park Pass, or pay the daily (way too cheap for what you get) park fee. The cache container has limited space, so bring small stuff.
Ok Pilgrim, lets get to walking…ya-ha. From the parking area at N34 43.611, W083 42.962 or the one located at N34 45.441, W083 42.617, proceed to the cache. I set this one out in the summer, which means GPS coverage in the forest was poor and could be off the normal amount.
The Smith Creek Trail is full of beauty…and the beast. BEWARE of BEARS, TIMBER RATTLERS, and all those other creatures that call the forest home. Check out the attached photo of the one that almost got me near here, on some trail that goes from Georgia to Maine. And please, don’t leave the cache site looking like a freshly plowed garden. Remember, the forest has eyes.
