Gyrihaugen was Kjentmannspost in 1998-2000. On the peak the
Norwegian Defence has huge communication facilities. This reduces
some of the charm of the area.
The view
The original cache installation was an alma&pål/PPJ combo:
An alma&pål black waterproof box secured by a PPJ carabiner
hook.
(Thanks to PPJ for securing the cache for winter conditions!).
In spite of its robustness the original cache did not survive the Defense Authorities landscaping activities which took place in 2022/2023.
We are very grateful to our dear friend and GC-mentor, Mostly Moose, for installing av new cache.
