Call me a creature of habit or cheap but, I like to park for free outside the park. Norman Houston park is another dog fun place and you can park there anytime other than between 10:30PM to 5AM.

If you parked above, walk north to the cross walk and there you are.
From here take any trail "up", it doesn't matter which path. Soon you will get to a very wide fire land (two car widths). If you come into Kenneth Hahn from another way, this wide road should be pretty easy to find.
You are very close now.
Original cache contents: Mr.Potato head shoes/glasses/ets, play dough, vampire teeth, puka shell necklace, clicker, face wipes for after the climb, micro geo sticker for you to place your own, log book, pen, and FTF prize.
Some history of the place (thanks to Amtraker)
By the way, at the top of the park is where there used to be the Baldwin Hills Reservoir. The dam collapsed on December 14, 1963.
