Geocache Description:

Located near Ft. Chiswell, VA. Easy access from I-81 and I-77.

The McGavock Family Cemetery has always intrigued us. Look what a beautiful spot the family chose for an eternal resting place and look what progress has done to the view! Imagine what this was like in the 1800s and early 1900s when the McGavock farm house was the only thing you could see for miles. This cemetery is now a Virginia Historic Landmark. This windswept spot is easily accessed from two major interstates and a good spot to send travel bugs on their way north, south, east or west, depending on which interstate it ends up traveling on!You are looking for a plastic container.Warning: Poison Ivy
