This is going to be a series of caches involving Work with Wood. Although this is not really a wooden work it seems fitting to start this series of caches here, as this is how they all began.
This entire area was worked heavily by these men without today's technology.
Whether you agree or disagree with what happened in the past you must admire their achievements.
At the coordinates there is a plaque commemorating bygone wooden workers

Now for some simple maths
AAA= the first date minus 1568
BBB= the second date minus 1099
Now head to:-

These coordinates will take you to the cache. Be extremely careful after rain as parts of this track remain very slippery.
GPS reception is not fantastic on this walk so keep going straight ahead when you come to the fork in the track, take the one that leads you past the living giant.
Stop when you come to the fallen giant and let the GPS settle down.
