Hail To The Chief - Z Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

macleod1: Macleod1 here - checked on the cache and it was missing. As opposed to replacing it, we have archived it. We have placed a new cache in a location not too far from where this cache was located. It had a good run.

Geocache Description:

The original container with the puzzle piece fell victim to landscaping. The cache is now a 35mm film canister. The name of the appropriate President is written at the top of the log.

j,

In recognition of the 2004 Presidential election we are

establishing a series of caches dedicated to the Presidents

of the United States .  Each of these caches contains a wooden puzzlepiece on which one of the Presidents is pictured.

Each of our Hail To The Chief caches has been hidden at a location* that is in some way related to the President that is pictured on the puzzle piece or listed on the log. See if you can figure out the relationships as you search for caches in the series.

*  For example, the cache housing John Adams could be located

on Adams Street (it isn’t, or at least not yet anyway), or at a  location

that shares the name of his birthplace, or his nickname, or….you

get the idea.

This cache is located in a high traffic area and parking could be

a problem depending upon the time of day. Please use stealth during

your search as there may be eyes watching from nearby businesses.

The cache is in a camp match container that only has room for the log.

camouflaged plastic bag. The bag containing the cache is uniquely

hidden and can not be seen. The overall difficulty rating is

based upon the hiding method and the fact that tree cover

 could impact reception.

In addition to normal items you would expect to see in a

traditional cache, you will also find a wooden puzzle piece

picturing one of the 43 Presidents.

Please do not remove the puzzle piece from the cache –

it is not a trade item.
