Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in ancient woodland just off the footpath/cycle trail encircling Grafham Water, one of the largest man-made lakes in the country. The container is a one litre tupperware box originally containing log book & pencils, mini bonsai kit, a sewing kit, salt shaker, and small decorative tin. It is a good mile and a half walk or cycle from the car park at N52 17.485, W000 19.446, (which is closed and locked at dusk, so be warned!!), but the trail is well maintained and so is accessible to all. From the path there are some superb views over the lake, which is the leading inland sailing centre in the UK, and also a very well stocked Trout fishing centre. Cycle hire is available at N52 17.794, W000 17.317, where there are also facilities for teas etc. We were supposed to be sailing on the day we placed this cache, but guess what? No wind!!!
