Geocache Description:

A multicache situated in the village of Aldbury, 3 miles east of Tring.

Aldbury lays at the foot of the Chiltern ridge and is almost surrounded by the Ashridge estate which is owned by the National Trust.

The village was home of the popular 80's television series "Shillingbury Tales" as well as being the host for the first ever National Lottery advert, which was filmed at the local post office. Another claim to fame is the village was used in the Avengers episode "Murdersville."

The local country club, Stocks was also used for the cover shot of the third Oasis album 'Be Here Now' and was formerly the home of Mrs Humphry Ward the Novelist.
