Torpa
stenhus
Torpa stenhus is one of the most
preserved renaissance castles in Sweden.
The oldest parts are more
than 700 years old. The castle has been owned by the same
family for over 600 years!
Nowadays you could visit the
castle on the summer and there are guided sightseeing tours all
days of week.
If you are tired after all stairs,
big old halls and all stories about ghosts, knights, kings and
killed daughters you could visit the café for a coffee or an
ice-cream. In the basement of the castle you will find a little
handcraft store.
In the end of
july starts a free-air play called "Torpaspelen" wich is
a theatre act in historical surroundings.
You will find much more info
