Ittoqqortoormiit (Scoresbysund), northeast Greenland. Hidden on small hill (approx. 75m asl) overlooking this remote Greenlandic settlement.
Cache is in small unmarked plastic pillbox (grey pot, white lid sealed from elements with duck tape). Cache is hidden in rock crevice under rocks. Contents at time of placement include: travel bug (goodwill coin #4 Ref TBA3AB), £1 coin, University of Leeds pin badge, and found objects (small blue plastic car, butterfly keyring - found at "nearby" Kap Hoegh fangshus, and remains of a red balloon I found floating in the Feldie Burn, Scotland some months before then found lurking in the bottom of my camera case on this trip). There is no log book inside, but if you care to leave a small pencil and piece of paper...
Admin note: cache placed on vacation, geocacher unaware of prohibition against placing caches that can't be maintained. There are no local geocachers in this area at this time. If there is one later who could adopt the cache it would be appreciated. If the cache is found to be in poor condition by a finder please remove it and ask the cache owner to archive it. Thanks.
