Geocache Description:

Busy Busy Beavers!!

This cache is on the Green Pine Lake Pathway. There is a very nice 2.5 mile loop to do. You can park on the Trailhead Parking lot on M-115 Just northwest of Lake Station Road. This used to be a neat campground area. Those days are gone. However, the pathway is GREAT! GCB2ED is by the trailhead. Please notice the neat directional signs put up by Steve Reed, from the Farwell Troop, for his 2000 Eagle Project! They are well done.
Near the Cache, you can see a lot of beaver damage to the trees. It is really something what they can do!! WOW!! I also saw a raccoon on this trail, which is a first for me. Hope you continue on and do the 2.5 loop. OR- The big Loop, for a day outing! Also, for a day outing you could hike all the way to Mud Lake and hit my Top Notch Cache GCM73N it will be a good size hike. Bring water! It will be a long round trip. I will do this hike in 2005 for sure. ** I tried this in Oct. 2005 but got stopped by a giant beaver dam and ponds. I will try it again though.
There is a first finders prize and a second finders prize too.

This fine tree has been clear cut, like so many others in this area. Too bad. I hate clear cuts. I can stand "select cuts". Michigan is in such bad shape, soon... we will have no forest left!
