An easy cache and chance to stretch your legs going to or from the high lakes.
Park in the pullout at milepost 50.1 along highway 58 (a pull-through loop that a vehicle with a 20 foot trailer could negotiate). The cache is in a 6"x8"x10" olive drab ammo box, so it blends in well, but will be easy to find. The real prizes here are a view of Verdun Rock to the Northeast, the namesake interpretive sign, and a very short nature trail that provides a nice view of Salt Creek.
