This is a family-friendly cachetour which will lead you to my favorite ruin.
You'll find naice viepoints and a beautiful countryside.
The best point to park the car is the lot at:
N47° 53.610' E013° 57.886'
Go to the startingpoint at:
N47° 53.540' E013° 57.943'
Now you have two possibilities to reach the ruin.

OPTION1 (shorter but steep):
Walk up the stairs. |

OPTION2 (longer but relaxing):
If you came with a stroller and your kids follow the street which leads into a gravel road.
The signs will guide you. |
Inside the walls of the ruin at

you'll find a sign which tells you more about the history of the former castle.
Take the units digit of each of the seventeen year figures (one is hidden within the text) from top to bottom and you'll get ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQ
The cache is a lock-lock box and can be found on your way down to the car at:
N 47° 53.CMG' E 013° 57.GLD'
Enjoy the nice area and the view over Scharnstein and the surrounding area.
There is a second spot 10min further uphill which provides an even better view.
It cannot be reached with a stroller.

Jetzt hast du 2 Möglichkeiten die Ruine zu erreichen.

Gehe die Stufen hinauf. |

OPTION2 (länger aber entspannender):
Wenn du mit einem Kinderwagen gekommen bist dann gehe weiter auf der Straße und
später auf dem Schotterweg.
Folge einfach den Schildern. |
In der Ruine angekommen

findest du ein Schild welches dir mehr über die Geschichte der ehemaligen Burg erzählt.
Nimmt alle Einerstellen der 17 Jahreszahlen (eine ist im Text versteckt) von oben nach unten und du erhältst ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQ
Den Cache, eine durchsichtige Lock-Lock-Box, findest du am Weg zurück zum Auto hier:

Genieß die nette Gegend und die Aussicht auf Scharnstein und die Umgebung.
Einen fast noch besseren Aussichtspunkt findest du 10min weiter bergauf.
Dieser kann allerdings mit dem Kinderwagen nicht mehr erreicht werden.
