Geocache Description:

I have always loved music.  From the time I plunked out that first three-note masterpiece on the piano, through playing in the high school stage band, to directing a kids’ chorus and band.  While I definitely have my preferences, I believe there’s something good to be found in ALL types of music.  (Well, I have to admit, when it comes to Rap, I’m still searching.  But I haven't given up!)  I love "That Old Time Rock 'n Roll," love the mellow smoothness of good jazz, love the honesty of country (not to mention that I can understand the lyrics!) and, of course, the timeless majesty of classical music.

My brother thinks I listen to too much country and not enough classical, so I thought I'd humor him with this cache and make a list of some of my favorite classical compositions:

Violin Concerto in D minor  by Jean Sibelius (1865-1957)

Sonata in C minor “Pathetique” by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)

Symphony No. 5 in D major by Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847)

String Quartet No. 11 in F minor by Dimitri Shostakovich (1906-1975)

Prelude No. 7 in A major by Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849)

Piano Trio #2 in E-flat major by Franz Peter Schubert (1797-1828)

The coordinates posted above represent another of my favorites, Handel’s Water Music.  They do NOT, however, represent the location of this cache.   Container is a magnetic Altoids tin, painted to match what it’s stuck to, and containing only the log book.
