Geocache Description:

Cache is a painted plastic peanut butter jar. Difficulty arises because of few strong satelite signals - and a brief walk from the FITNESS trail. BUT take care to pick up a trail map when starting out and watch where you have been. Other somewhat similar trails cross in this area. Map is free.

I will be found in this greatland of ours at a most unique placeWhere one raindrop divides itself into three - each to begin a race. One to the S to a warm Gulf, one E to the Atlantic they say,Leaving the last to turn bravely North toward an icy Hudson Bay.Traditional cache - some magnets, key chains, log book, coins, pencil, geocache info sheet. No travel bug - yet. This site is the Great Laurentian Divide, about 4 miles N of Virginia MN along the crest of low rocky hills, mountains some billions of years ago. At some point - not sure precisely where, water divides. Those on the North find the Red River and Rainy River baisis from the Minnesota dn Lake Superior basisn. Streamo ther divide to flow through Canada to the Hudson Bay and on the the Arctif Ocean. On the other side of the divide, streams flow S to Lake Superior and the Atlantic Oceon or the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico. Explore - Learn - Enjoy.
