Lydeard Hill Quantock Cache Traditional Cache
PurplePenguin: I have had to replace this cache several times over the last 20 years when it has gone missing. I don't like driving up the lane to the car park, so I think it is time to archive it.

A short level walk on a well trodden public footpath.
We suggest that you park in the car park at N51 05.877 W003 10.294. No other facilities are available here. The view from the car park is spectacular – you can see the Vale of Taunton Deane, the Blackdown and Brendon Hills with Exmoor in the distance. You don’t have to get out of your car to see the view but you will need to leave your car to find the cache. It’s not far though. The car park is popular because it is the start of the track that runs along the spine of the Quantocks and takes in Wills Neck, which at 384 metres is the highest point on the Quantocks but the cache site is away from this track and should be fairly quiet. This cache is suitable for children and dogs. The cache is a small rectangular plastic box. When you’ve found it, if you walk a little further along the same path you can see the Bristol Channel. There is a triangular walk that you can do which contours round Lydeard Hill and ends up back at the car park.
