The chirping of birds, the babbling of a creek, the roar of the approaching bulldozers.....
This is a great little trail near the ever expanding Promontory development site. It is a great piece of nature in among the ravages of modern building.
The trails have all been refreshed and groomed in early 2008 and are in terrific shape.
There are many ways to get on this trail, you can start either from the Chilliwack River Road side in which case you will be uphill to the cache and downhill back or you can start from the Promontory side and go downhill to the cache and uphill back. Either way, there is an uphill involved!
To enter from the Promontory side you can look for these co-ords 49 05.886N 121 56.989W Lots of parking on the street here. (there are lots of other Promontory entrances now as well!)
Reception is only "ok" in here so you are close when you find a hint of a side trail down to the creek which is visible about 30 feet away (yes, feet! ... I am still hoping this whole metric thing does not catch on :-)
