To reach Fern Gully, you will have to park at the Mount Ellen base area of Sugarbush Resort. There will be plenty of parking spaces available. Vehicles are prohibited from the trail system. The resort has given permission for this cache to be placed.
Sometimes it’s about the journey. Sometimes it’s about the destination. When you’re lucky, it’s about both.This cache is the reason why you got in to geocaching in the first place. Breath taking views through the entire experience.To reach Fern Gully, you can either hike or bike your way to the cache. There are plenty of open paths leading to within 150ft of cache. My only suggestion is that a straight line is not always the easiest way.The cache container is a large ammo box. It has all the traditional stuff inside. Cache placement is very straight forward, no surprises there.This is a bit of hike, so please be prepared. Bring water and a snack. Bug spray would also be wise.Don't forget your camera.
