Geocache Description:

This cache is difficult only because you are required to not only take a ferry out to an island, but to hike to a remote location as well.

This is the seventh and easiest island based cache in a total of eight caches related to the Manitou Islands in the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore. The last of the Manitou Meanderings caches brings you to a whole new location. Please do not attempt to swim over to this location from the precious cache in this series – take the boat! Take a few minutes and relax and reflect on all that you have seen and done while completing the Manitou Meanderings series (assuming you have accomplished all previous Manitou Meanderings Caches!). The area around you is filled with information about all that you have seen and done so far on your journey. While you have indeed earned your rest, take a few minutes more to explore the nearby buildings and pieces of old time machinery in the area. If you have time, follow the trail down to the nearby lighthouse and take a tour of that. The view is worth the climb! Before you leave, note the name of the group that provided your resting place at the listed coordinates. Send an email with the name of the group along with the date they placed the seat in that location to log the cache.
