The walk is a smooth dirt path to about 100' from the cache where it becomes a 2 rating. To get to the parking area, turn onto the dirt road directly opposite Old Grove Street.
Ten turtles have so far escaped the clutches of a very mean hermit intent of making them into turtle soup: Boomer, Jangles, Clyde, Galaxy, Alex, Dotty, Rocky, Pappy, Ziggy and Jake. These little turtles need your help in hiding them out and moving them along quickly. Very special habitats (caches) are awaiting their arrival where they will be safe and secure. There they will have a protected environment and a happy full life. Each turtle carries a paper with its intended destination. How many will NOT become turtle soup?No turtles are safe! If you find another "lost" turtle, start it out here with a safe destination included, of your choosing, and please add their name in your log. Of course, other items may be swapped as well.If you have any suggestions as to this formation at the cache site, please let me know.This is a two-part multi where the final cache is a large clear plastic "cookie Jar" with screw top cap.A considerable distance away are tracks for the high speed Amtrak commuter trains. You will see the trains through the trees; however, you have NO NEED to be anywhere near the tracks.
