Black 32 oz. plastic mayo container. Requires short walk (.38 mile) on the Rubicon Trail at Bliss State Park. There's another trail off to the right but it's not as scenic.PLEASE, PLEASE stay on the path until you are close to the cache so you don't disturb the environment - then you will be walking on rocks & logs the last bit. Stay on the Rubicon Trail until you are within 250 yards of the cache. Then you will be turning onto the "Lighthouse Trail." Park at 38.59.910 N 120.05.863 W.
Cache has a Lighthouse theme, as it is in the proximity of a lighthouse at Lake Tahoe constructed in 1919. When operational, it was the highest elevation lighthouse on a navigatable body of water in the world. Elevation 6460 ft. Beacon could be seen 7 miles. Contents of cache in addiiton to logbook were originally lighthouse themed, but they are long-gone. From the cache sight look SE for the Osprey nest in the dead tree. With binoculars you may spot chicks mid-summer.
Lots of muggles in the area so be sure and re-hide well. You can park outside the park gates for a longer, but free, walk.
