This cache is located in Charlestown State Park, on Hwy 62 in Charlestown, IN. If you have the misfortune to arrive when the gate is manned, there is an entrance fee. You'll be looking for a 7.62 mm ammo box.
When last I checked, there were twenty seven towns in the United States named after my home town. Indiana has two -- one near Greensburg and one near Nappanee. These towns were all named after my home town because it is the oldest town of that name in the New World.
This is a home town themed cache. I've stocked the cache with products produced in my home town and with items associated with it. If you have similar items that are associated with your home town (e.g. a locally produced product, a match book from a local business, a map with the homes of all the stars marked on, and so forth) I encourage you to bring them to trade.
There is a first finder's prize comprising a gift certificate for another of my home town's products, viz., a Subway sandwich.
Adopting (read "shamelessly ripping off") an idea from a cache I have recently done (A Cache of Palindromes, GC202B), I am adding a virtual option to this traditional cache.
To exercise this option, go to a town named Milford anywhere in the world and take the customary GPS photo of the town's welcoming sign. It would be a grin if you appeared in the photo as well, but not required.
The preferred sign would be the one the Chamber of Commerce erected at the edge of town, but any sign identifying the town will do. No information signs or highway direction signs, please.
In your log, please post, in addition to the photo, the coordinates of the sign, and the state or province and the country where your Milford specimen is located.
Each cacher may log this cache as a virtual only once.
Each town may be logged only once. However, members of caching teams may log the same town if the logs are posted at the same time.
You may log both the traditional and virtual versions of his cache.
