Geocache Description:

This is based on a cache placed by my high school friend RodgerB and another friend the Cast Iron Boss. It is dedicated to the Junkman, for helping getting me started with a GPS. RogerB helped get this off the ground, thus is the second Junk Drawer.

Parking is hard, as there is a little bit of dirt parking. You may want to park in a near by park (south) on 48th south and take the Jordan River Parkway trail north to the first location.

The first step take you to an area that is an area I would hope you would ponder. It should put you in the center of the memorial. This is a good starting place to look at the plaques located here.

Second step: N 40 40.55A W 111 5B.59C

A = 3rd plaque to the left, lower row... date of month signed

B = Last plaque top left... December 24th, 194?

C = Last plaque to the right, bottom... Date of Letter, January 22, 190?

Contents include:
1 Cookie cutter
1 Funnel
1 Bookmark
1 Key chain
4 Dutch Oven scrapers
2 Carabiners
1 Green army man
1 Golf ball (would not be a good cache without it)
4 Football trading cards (Go Niner's)
1 flash light (no batteries, like you ever find a flashlight with good batteries when you need one)
Several pens
1 roll of eletrical tape
1 tin of car fuses.
