Geocache Description:

In Minto Brown Park, a modest walk in on paved trails. The cache is a short distance off the path to increase stealth. The difficulty rating is partially due to spotty sat reception.

Our second in theme. As Gilligan was exploring, he found a grove of nut trees. In his excitement he dropped his satchel (ammo can) and has not been able to find it. Maybe you will have better luck.

Rating on cache increased for massive overgrowth in the area.
Special Note (2/9/2005) This should be temporarily changed to a mystery cache. It is even a mystery to us. Once we/you find it, we can return it to the above coords.

Received this email.
I was kayaking in the flooded field when I found a geocache floating. I placed it in a small tree. If you want to know where, ask me, and I can give directions. The reason I'm not giving them here is I don't know if that information would be appropriate for this website.

And . . .
Go to the farthest west parking lot of Minto Brown park (the upstream one). Walk east toward the capitol building down the paved trail until you come to the bridge built by the national guard.
Instead of crossing the bridge head turn (left) toward the big oxbow lake through the hazelnut orchard. When you are close to the lake look west and several tall fir trees in a row will be seen along the lake bank. If the last one were to be felled toward the east so it would parallel the lake, the top would be two thirds the way from the stump to the geocache which is in a bushy-tree about ten feet up I estimate as I was in my kayak. This is where I put it when I found it floating, it may or may not have have moved far, and I put it in a tree within about five yards where I found it.

Have fun finding it again.

Ben
