We have chosen this beautiful area for our first cache, as we have enjoyed coming here for many years, and now want to share it with fellow geocachers.
Cache is a silver ammo case, original contents include: Logbook, pencil, sharpener, rubber, FTF Certificate and prize, and other goodies as shown in photo.Head towards Cape Naturaliste, before deviating to car park with the coords S 33º 34.425 E 115º 05.170 . Proceed to walk 30 to 40 metres north west (depends on where you park your car) on sealed road, until you see a green walk trail sign. Follow the pointers! It’s about 610 metres to the cache from here, including some steeper stuff that is good for the cardiovascular system. Follow the obvious track. Go underground !, before arriving at a “Green Corps” sign. Then take the steepest, most northerly heading track. Enjoy the peace and quiet and views.We suggest you continue and finish the circuit trail back down. Slightly longer, but all downhill! When you cross the sealed road, proceed on Coastal Track back to carpark. The beach area has good facilities and is great for snorkelling and swimming. Beware stingers in late summer. And, don’t forget Dunsborough bakery on the way out.
