This cache is on Sand Mountain, on the outskirts of Wytheville Virginia.
This is one of four Father's Day caches placed on Sand Mountain with Mulligan-the-Hooligan. We both agreed this mountain needed some caches!
The cache is a typical ammo box, filled with various items including a log book and a travel Bug for the first finder, and is well hidden near the Eastern-most overlook, so don't give up!
You should approach from RT-696 off of RT-21, and park at:
N 36 54.942' W 081 05.280'
The hike to the top will be worth the trip, so plan ahead and bring plenty of water and snacks. You will pass over a spring-fed stream on the way up, if you need.
Be sure to research the other caches up here before planning your hike, and don't forget to bring your camera!
