Cache Bash Stash Event
Schedule of Events
10:00 - 11:00; Arrive, meet & greet
11:30 - 12:00; Plan stashing runs to various parks
12:00-1:30; Break into teams and go out to stash 1 or 2 caches
1:30+; Re-group, compile coordinates, hints, etc. about stashed caches & have a cookout

The Oakland County Parks system is going to be running a special cache series from July 4 - December 31, 2004. The cache series will be 12 caches placed in 3-4 Oakland County Parks as a way of celebrating the introduction of Geocaching as an official activity in the parks system. OCP has requested the help of MiGO in placing the caches and ensuring that things go off without a hitch. We will be meeting in the morning to review park maps and the general plan. Then we will break up into small teams or pairs and go out to the parks and place the caches for OCP. The placement of caches just involves going out, finding a good hiding spot, marking the coordinates and providing a hint that will be on the cache page.
After the stash run, we will return to the meeting place and compile the coordinates and hints. They will be posted and approved to go live on July 4, 2004 for everyone to hunt. Afterward we will have a grill going and if you care to, please bring something to grill for lunch. We'll have a bit of a social, clean up, and head out.
Oakland County will be supplying all the cache containers ready to go, but feel free to bring some choice trinkets or signature items to help spice them up if you like. Travel bugs, etc. are welcome as well!

Entry Fee: None! Everyone volunteering for this day will receive a free day pass to Oakland County Parks for the day of July 3, 2004. The pass will get you into Independence Oaks free, as well as any park you might go to stash a cache.
Meet at: We will be using the "Trailside Pavillion" in Independence Oaks during the event as HQ and for the cookout afterward. You can see the Pavillion marked clearly on the Independence Oaks Trail Map. Just come in through the main entrance, and follow the road past the Pine Grove Shelter to the first intersection. You will see parking directly ahead of you, that is where you should park. The Trailside Pavillion is just north of there.
