Geocache Description:

Things are not always as they seem and that includes the name of this cache and the clues.

The cache site is a public trail system off Pickering road (N43° 15.275, W070° 57.400) in Gonic, which is part of Rochester. From the public parking lot, go through the pedestrian opening in the chain-link fence. These trails used to be maintenance roads for the sewerage lagoon system and the city of Rochester keeps these eight foot wide flat smooth trails mowed for walkers. This is a popular spot for people to walk their dogs so you may see other people here both summer and winter. Depending on the season you will also see lots of turtles, sea gulls, ducks, and maybe an occasional eastern coyote, great blue heron, or beaver. The cache is just off the trail and you if you are keen-eyed, you may be able to see the cache site, but not the cache, in winter. It is impossible to see in summer but when you get close you can hear the sound of the hidden nasty waterfall. In summer, tree cover may not give you great readings and there is some thorny underbrush the last fifty feet so long pants would be a good idea. Sorry, I cannot give you a more concrete landmark. You do not have to, nor would you want, nor should you try, to get close to the actual water. The cache is a small ammo box outside on the ground and should be obvious to anyone looking for it.
