If you’ve ever dug a hole in the hill country no doubt you have encountered honeycombed rocks which present an interesting geological feature.
You are seeking a log- only small container disguised by the natural setting. The surrounding plants are typical of a Hill Country streambed. Muggles frequent the trail all the time so you'll need to look less conspicuous lest you arouse the neighbor's suspicions. Replace the cache exactly as you find it. Because of the muggle traffic and dense tree cover your GPSr may give a different reading than mine even though the constellation was fairly tight this afternoon. It is after all a hunt!
The park is owned and operated by the North Austin MUD #1 for the surrounding neighborhood. STRICT curfews, 10PM-6AM, are enforced with off duty Williamson County Deputies patrolling after hours.
Parking at the suggested lot will result in a one-mile round-trip. Other entrances to the park can be found but require parking on neighborhood streets. Be considerate.
We walk the trail with the dogs almost daily so; if you see someone watching, wave.
