I never had a chance to find this cache that was here before,
so I’ve decided to place it as close to the original coordinates as
possible, but still in a safe place. The cache is a medium size
rubber-maid bowl. Unfortunately, there is a lot of rubble in this
area, but on the other hand, it makes for a great hiding area. I’m
surprised this place is still here next to these nice resorts. I
would suggest keeping an eye out, if you take your children or
pets, there is a lot of broken glass around.
Besides all that, I really enjoyed looking around this place and
tried to imagine how it use to be.
If you like the thrill of the find, come
back and do this one again. Please put the cache back the way you
found it, so others can enjoy the seeking
experience.
A little history of this location talked
about from the people who visited this cache.
By buddster - We think it must have
been in commission during 1993 according to a flyer we saw there
that said a yearly pass was $25.00 or $3.50 per round. The old
cement looking buildings seem to be a dugout for trap launchers.
According to the sign on the building stating nothing "bigger than
7 1/2" it must have been a skeet range for only shot guns. My
husband seems to think it was a range originaly built by some local
contractors for personal use.
By utahtim - I think the 1993 time period is correct. It was
part of the spa. As more homes were built, and more people used the
area it was not practical to keep it in use.
