This ammo can is full of plastic
animals, wild and tame. You can take one and leave anything (not just an animal)
or just sign the log and split; either is OK.
The reason we made this cache is to
mention how many wild animals and birds we've seen in this area. When we first
bought our land in Paris, MI, we spent a fortune planting many new fruit and
ornamental trees, fruit & vegetable plants, and flowers and shrubs. We would
also feed the wild animals with pans of corn, cracked and whole, place salt
blocks, and fill containers with bird feed, suet and turkey feed. We soon
discovered that we were enticing the wild animal to come and eat not only the
provided feed, but also all of our new plants. Needless to say, we now feed only
the birds. We still see all the animals, but, as much as possible, we'd like to
keep our landscaping intact.
NOTE: We developed this series of
caches to introduce you to our favorite part of Michigan. We drive up every
other weekend to relax at our place on the Muskegon River. We'll soon be retiring
from the Detroit area and be permanent residents of Paris, MI.
