When I originally visited the 2650 or
bust cache I was blown away by this tiny little
canyon that most people would never know existed. It's just the coolest little
thing and I would love to have other cachers enjoy it too. So when I
happened to be in the area with Willow67 leading her to a cache I decided to make this two stage multi that ends with a well camouflaged 7.62mm ammo can. The cache is hidden extremely well in a rock pile, a rock pile that looks very intimidating, but my goal was not to fool you but to get you to the area. Don't make this harder than it needs to be. No big rocks need to be moved, only a few smaller ones. The cache is hidden so hikers in the area won't find it. The cache is within two feet of the trail, both horizontally and vertically. But where on the trail is it?
This is a two stage puzzle/multi-cache. The first stage is a
monument honoring the brave pioneers that constructed the Santa Fe/Salt
Lake Trail. The final stage is up the Pacific Crest
Trail.
To achieve the 2nd set of
coordinates:
Go to the original coordinates, at that
location you will find a monument, on the monument is two sets of number, the first
set will be A,B,C,D, and the second set will be E,F,G,H.
Final stage waypoint:
Add the following number to the original North
coordinates.
(A+D) x(F+E) +(H+C) -(G)
Subtract the following number from the original West
coordinates.
(BxB) x(C-A) +(BxB)
Please hide the cache as
well or better than you found it , and trade up or don't trade.
And be prepared for possible other caches along this trail in
