Geocache Description:

Along the West Mesa / Rio Puerco Rim road...4X4 needed.

No shade, lots of heat, bugs, sand, dips, ruts, stickers, cliffs, etc., the stuff West Mesa caches are made of! The view of the Puerco Valley and Mt. Taylor are stunning. The best way to access as far as I know is from the west end of Southern Blvd, west of Rio Rancho, then basically take that sandy road south, until you get close to the cache. This is a N/S running road that parallel to the Rio Puerco / West Mesa Rim. Bring Water. Keep walking west through the arroyo and you can access the valley for more playtime. (If one finds a different route to the cache, let me know.)
