In this neighbourhood you will see the mythical Neck with his enchanting fiddle.
Årets Näck är en tävling i gestaltning av Näcken. Den äger rum vid Garveriholmen i Billstaån i Hackås, södra Jämtland. För att lyckas här krävs inte bara stor skicklighet och stilkänsla i spelet utan även en trovärdig framtoning. Man bör inte vara blyg och inte heller rädd för kallt vatten.
Årets Näck is an annual contest among male fiddlers. Contestants play the fiddle (naked of course, that's what Näck means) in a stream, and are judged on how well they incarnate the Näck, with a separate award for best musical performance.
