Fun little walk the family can enjoy.
The lovely Portage Valley. The most visited area in the state and for good reason, with all it has to offer.This cache may look familiar to some. It is the cache container I had located in a small park in Anchorage last summer. It is a US surplus mortar storage tube, about 2 feet long and 4 inches wide.Park in the Willowwa fish viewing parking lot and take the trail that leads under the road. No need to dodge traffic. You can see salmon heading upstream to spawn in July and August from the platform. A nice area and a fun walk.
NOTE...the original cache container was replaced with a 30 caliber ammo can on 10/05/2013
