The coordinates are for the first part of a two part multi-cache. It contains the coordinates of the cache itself.
The main cache, which is a small ammo box, is within a few feet of open ground in a public area. No bushwacking should will be required.
Some local history:
Spanish for "holy land," Tierrasanta during World War II was part of Camp Elliott, a large marine artillery range that was sold after the war and became san Diego's first planned community. On several occasions, the last being the mid-1990's the military has swept the area for unexploded ordnance. So the warning signs are probably no longer needed, but you never can tell for sure.
On a calm Sunday morning in October 2003 what was to become the 273,000 acre Cedar fire, the largest fire in California history, jumped freeway 52 from the North, quickly swept through Mission Trails Park on the east, and came came down the I-15 corridor on the west, advancing on Tierrasanta from three directions. Tierrasanta was lucky because we had a couple more hours of warning to prepare than Scripps Ranch to the north. But homes were destroyed here as well, including several just down the street from this cache.
Continue past the cache and you will come to a rope swing. Enjoy!
