Oratunturi sijaitsee n. 20 km Sodankylästä.
Oratunturi is located about 20 kms from Sodankylä.
Aja Sodankylästä Kemijärvelle päin (tie nro 5). Pisteessä N 67° 21.171 E 027° 00.247 käänny vasemmalle Seväseläntielle. Auton voit jättää koordinaatteihin N 67° 21.763 E 027° 02.581.
Helpoin tapa tästä eteenpäin on kävellä parkkipaikan kulmalta lähtevää tienpohjaa pitkin n. 1,5 km päässä sijaitsevalle laavulle, josta on vielä n. 500 m tunturin huipulle. Huipulle ei mene polkua, joten joudut valitsemaan reittisi itse.
Maasto on laavulta eteenpäin kivirakkaa, joten ole varovainen – etenkin sateella – ja varustaudu tukevilla kengillä.
Drive from Sodankylä along road number 5 until you are in N 67° 21.171 E 027° 00.247. Turn left to Seväseläntie. You can left your car to N 67° 21.763 E 027° 02.581.
The easiest way to continue is walk about 1,5 kms along the trail which starts from the corner of parking area to a lean-to, where it is about 500 meters to the top of the fell.
There is not a path to the top, so you must choice a route yourself. The terrain is rocky, so be careful – especially in rainy weather – and wear proper shoes.
