The cache is convenient to (but not particularly close to) I-4
and the Polk Parkway (Toll Road 570) as they pass through Lakeland.
It is also convenient to US-92, US-98, and South Florida Avenue
(one of Lakeland's primary north-south thoroughfares, State Road
37).
The primary purpose of the Southern Travel Bug Hideout is to
facilitate the exchange of travel bugs. Wheresgeorge dollars are
also welcome. Other non- travel bug trade items are welcome, but
will be removed for placement in other caches if the general trade
items begin to overwhelm the space.
Please sign the log and make note of any travel bugs you
leave or take.
Please do not discuss the specific cache location in your log.
Thanks!
This container was placed with permission. However, please be
mindful of the need to blend in. Searching for the cache after dark
may be problematic, and is discouraged. It will be difficult to get
a good GPSr reading at the cache site.
The cache is *not* located down a sloped paved driveway
~ please do not look there.
While in Lakeland take the time to search for other local
caches. There are over 250 in the greater Lakeland area, and they
offer at least a full day's worth of caching excitement!
