"Cache In"
October 2, 2004 come to the
Canadian Ecology
Centre
for a day of caching!
Geocaching activities, GPS tips, Night Vision
demos, hike and a campfire. The OGA ( Ontario Geocaching Association ) will also be holding it's first Annual Meeting. Come meet some other Geocachers, exchange ideas, and
stories of Caches found and the ones that got away! This will be an event to
remember. Prizes and a chance to find some special caches. Put a "watch" on here for more details and mark you calendars.
The Canadian Ecology Centre is a non profit
facility dedicated to future of our forests as a successfully sustained resource
for fun and history. The Centre is located in Northeastern Ontario, just
north of Algonquin Park in Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park. [
Map ] It is full of the legends of the Nipissing and Algonquin people
who have inhabited the area for thousands of years, and of the voyageurs who
opened the forests to new possibilities.
Note: Because of the remote location, you may opt to stay over in the available cabins
on site for only $99 for 2 nights 2 days. (Each cabin has 2 double beds and one
single.) (Note if you arrive after 11pm please make use of our late night check box to the left of our main entrance) Meals available as well, 4 meals, all day Saturday ( Breakfast, Lunch
and Dinner as well as Sunday breakfast for $50 a person. You may also opt
to pack a picnic. A secondary meal option is available consisting solely of dinner on saturday night at a cost of $20 per person. Accommodation is also available near by in North Bay or
