jklGoDuke: Well, after realizing that the hole in the tree was growing closed so that the cache no longer fits, I guess it is time to retire this one. Here's to all of the little geocachers out there - may the caches be filled with whatever goodies you like to find!

Geocache Description:

This is a vehicle themed cache located along the American Tobacco Trail in Durham.

This cache is placed in honor of our son, Big-B, and all little geocachers like him. He'll be three years old soon, and he has been quite willing to do a great deal of geocaching. The first question he asks about any cache, though, is "Does it have a car in it?" If not a car, than any type of vehicle will do. So, we've loaded this cache with all kinds of toy vehicles (cars, tank, plane, train, boat, etc.) to make the little ones happy. Other tradeables are ok, but try to stick to the theme if you can. Certainly don't send any little cachers away empty-handed just because you don't have a car to trade! Travel bugs are always welcome. (Yellow Jeep Travel Bugs even fit the theme!)

This cache is placed just off a section of the American Tobacco Trail in Durham County. Park on Massey Chapel road, and your hike will be a half-mile roundtrip. [Note: Due to new construction, you can now park at an access point a few hundred feet from the cache.] The cache is not far off the trail, but there is a bit of poison ivy and probably mosquitos in the area, so be careful. It's right on the border of NC gamelands, so be particularly careful during hunting season. We had a little bit of trouble getting a satellite lock at the cache, or the difficulty would probably be even lower. Coordinates are averaged over two days and two GPS receivers. Enjoy!
