I placed this cache for two reasons: first, to bring folks to the spectacular Japanese garden here, and second, as a little thank-you to the Portland cachers for hosting the Cache Machine, June 26-27, 2004.
There is now a fee to park your vehicle within the park. There is sometimes close by street parking.
You are looking for a decon container, which is 2x3x4" and dark green. It's just behind and to the left of the big rock and accessible from the sidewalk. I don't recommend hunting this after dark, as it is right on the edge of a residential neighborhood. It might not be possible to find this one on the weekend, as there may be no parking spots and too many muggles to be discreet.
Please be certain to close the container completely and tightly when you are finished. Please return the container to the same spot you found it.
There may or may not be a pen in the cache, so be sure to have a writing instrument or stickers with you.
Admission to the garden is $9.50, so I can't make it a requirement for this cache, but I do HIGHLY recommend it. If you do go in, please share in your log what you enjoyed most about your visit!
