This colossal pre-columbian (some call it Jaredite) head is AWESOME! It is an exact replica of the ancient Olmec head no.8 which was originally discovered in the late 1960s by an archaeologist who used magnetometer technology to detect and map volcanic rock under the surface of the dense Mexican Jungle. It weighs 8 tons and is 7 1/2 feet tall and was a gift from Miguel Aleman Velazco, Governor of the State of Veracruz, Mexico. Only 3 were given to the United States: 1 to the Smithsonian, 1 to the Chicago Field Museum, and 1 to West Valley City, Utah!
This treasure is one of the coolest artifacts in Utah and is a "Must See," -- the kids will love it!
