Geocache Description:

Since our last visit to what we used to call, "The Wetlands," the City of Hendersonville has paved and extended the walkway. It is now possible to walk this paved walkway all the way from Jackson to Patton Park.

When we placed two other caches on the walkway several years ago, we had to park on the other end of the boardwalk, off of N. Main Street. That area is now paved and part of the walking trail. The best place to park for all of the caches along this walkway is now a small area directly accessable from 7th Avenue East. The coordinates for this area are N35° 19.484 W82° 27.139.

This is where you will begin your geoadventure.

To locate this cache, you will park at the above parking coordinates, and proceed just a bit further than .1 miles along the trail. You are searching for a dark colored pill container with an orange top. It is located approximately 12 feet off the trail, and it is not visible from the trail. It contains a log, and a few small tradable items. Our goal in placing these new caches along this trail is the hopes that the local geocachers who have already found the older caches, will come back to locate the new ones, and discover all of the wonderful improvements the city of Hendersonville has made to this area. Besides, it never hurts to have a few new geocaches to find.

Please be discreet when searching for this geocache, because since the area is now so popular with hikers and bikers, there will most likely be lots of muggles enjoying the trail. Also, keep in mind that animals have much more sensative noses than humans, so please do not place any scented items into the cache (such as soaps, food, candy, candles, etc.) which animals may mistake for food.

If you see something like this, you are getting pretty close!

Good luck on your geoadventure!
