From Holbrook, drive 31 miles east on Hwy. 180. You will be 13 1/2 miles east of the south entrance to the Petrified National Monument. (The Monument would be a great side trip for you after finding the cache!) Then, turn north onto Apache County Road #5392 and drive approx. 2 miles. Your GPS will do the rest.
THIS IS A THEME CACHE. PLEASE KEEP THE THEME GOING BY PLACING ITEMS IN THE CACHE THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE THEME WHICH IS: THINGS THAT STICK.
This is Team Couch Potato's sixth cache. All of our caches will be "theme" caches. That is, all items in the cache container will relate in some way.
The cache container is an ammo box. The hint provided will make the find much easier for you, but feel free to attempt it without the hint. Be imaginative and creative with your "sticky" things, and please help us to perpetuate the theme of this cache. WE RETAIN THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ITEMS THAT DO NOT MAINTAIN THE THEME OF THIS CACHE; WE WILL MOVE SUCH ITEMS TO OTHER CACHES. TRAVEL BUGS ARE WELCOME!
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE ON THE ROAD AND WALK THE SHORT DISTANCE FROM THERE. PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE CROSS-COUNTRY. This is a really neat place to explore, but please wear hiking boots or shoes with good tread. You will need them as terrain is slippery and uneven. It is a short walk from the road. Have fun and, as usual, please watch for snakes.
