Turn onto Donkey Creek road about three miles north of Humptulips. Go until the road narrows to single lane, then turn onto forest service road 2204 and follow your GPSr.
Many cachers say that although they enjoy a good micro or a tough hunt, sometimes they prefer a nice journey or a memorable location. So here you go...a quiet drive and an awesome place.
The coords should put you in the middle of a very impressive bridge. Walk around, enjoy the scenery, take some pictures. At the south end, you'll find a small brass plaque attached to the bridge. Note the year it was built. Subtract 1623 from that date and use your answer as a compass bearing. Face in that general direction. See that tallest tree??? Yeah, right down the middle.
There is "permit required" parking on the south side of the bridge, but you have plenty of room to park on the north side without a permit. From the same parking place you can get to the other cache "West Fork Trail".
While out here, check out a few more caches: "Dipping in the Wynoochee", "Perfection Falls", "Ring of Fire" and "Mrs. Baumgartner". Soon there could be a whole series of caches in the area.
